Tommy Shaw is kicking off 2011 with a Styx’ tour, including, for the first time ever, UK shows with Journey and Foreigner this June 2011. He also three album projects in the works. Somehow, the busiest man in rock ‘n roll still refuses to grow-up. One of his greatest joys is chomping on popcorn. An eternal child-at-heart, he tells us why.
Tommy Shaw has just wrapped Styx’ fall tour, where the band performed 1977’s “The Grand Illusion” and 1978’s “Pieces of Eight” in their entirety. He was three album projects in the works and just announced that Styx, for the first time ever, will do UK shows with Journey and Foreigner in June 2011. Shaw, a songwriter who truly is a man of the pen, blogs about why words matter.
Tommy Shaw is literally the hardest working man in music – he has three major album projects on deck (more on that later) and he’s gearing up for Styx’ fall tour, where the band will perform 1977’s “The Grand Illusion” and 1978’s “Pieces of Eight” in their entirety.
