Get ready because Belgian rock duo, Black Box Revelation are bringing their live, electric, rock and roll sound to America, and by the sound of it, they’re here to stay.
Influenced by American music, Black Box Revelation’s classic rock and roll, electric blues-infused sound could be likened to bands like Black Rebel Motorcycle Club or The Black Keys, yet the duo stands out in a category of their own. Frontman and guitarist Jan Paternoster wails like a young Mick Jagger and drummer Dries Van Dijck personifies his influences like Keith Moon, John Bonham and Dave Grohl through his thunderous drumming style.
The duo are currently readying the early 2012 release of their stateside debut, “My Perception,” which was produced by Alain Johannes (Queens of the Stone Age, Chris Cornell, Them Crooked Vultures) in Los Angeles. Their six-track EP, “Shiver of Joy,” which features two new b-sides from “My Perception,” is available online, now.
